NPG Committees
The NPG has four standing committees: Abstract/Research, Bylaws,
Professional Development, and Nominating. To find out the most recent
activities of the NPG Committees, please see the NPG Newsletter.
- The Abstract/Research Committee is responsible for promoting
nursing research within the ASRM and reviews and scores all research
abstracts submitted for presentation at the Annual Meeting. The
committee's recommendations for oral and poster presentations are
submitted to the ASRM's Abstract Committee.
- The Bylaws Committee reviews the NPG Bylaws every three
years, or sooner as required, and makes recommendations for changes to
the NPG Executive Board. Any recommended changes are then voted on by
the membership.
- The Nominating Committee is responsible for submitting a
slate of officers to the NPG Executive Board every two years. This slate
of officers is then approved by the NPG Executive Board and a ballot is
sent to the membership preceding the ASRM Annual Meeting.
- The Professional Development Committee directs the
development of new nursing protocols and reviews existing protocols on
an annual basis. This committee is also responsible for recruiting new
NPG members.
